Larissa Chastain '91
I graduated from Auburn in 1991 with a BFA in Graphic Design. At Auburn I enjoyed studying art, playing intramural football and volleyball, and being a Dunkin' Darlin'. I worked for the AlumNews and managed the Arts & Engineering Dept at the AUBookstore. Since graduation, I have worked for several ad agencies and have freelanced in Huntsville area. I am married to Mark Chastain, a pharmacist at Propst Drugs. Our three children are Carley, Claire and Ethan.
My favorite Auburn moment would have to be December 2, 1989 - the first time we truly played Alabama at home. It was great to experience this game as a student and witness Auburn beat an undefeated Alabama team. My interests are painting, Boot Camp, running and biking. My greatest achievements are my children- they are my jewels and I look forward to seeing the amazing things they will accomplish with their lives.

I have been on the Board since 2011. Graduating from Auburn with a BA in Sociology in 1992 and in 1996 with a Masters in Education. I work for a NASA contractor and do education activities for NASA. I married an Ole Miss grad and have two elementary aged kids. My favorite Auburn moments involve working with Camp War Eagle as a graduate student. Sharing the AU family traditions and spirit with new students and their parents was a lot of fun. I enjoy traveling to Auburn games both on the road and at home. Since I am also tied to the Ole Miss family, our family knows how to tailgate and we do it up big when the two schools play each other.

quarter of the quarter system before they moved to the semester system) with a
degree in Marketing. I was on the Auburn Basketball practice team my freshman
year and then I was on the Auburn Water Ski team from 1995 – 1998. I work in

the property off to investors across the country.

children, Landon (6), Hudson (5) and Tinsley (9 months). I was born in Gadsden,
AL in 1976 and moved here in 1977. I attended Grissom High School. I enjoy hanging
out on the boat and jet ski and being at the lake and hanging out with my
family. My boys and I love going to Auburn football games and love going to see
the Dallas Cowboys, Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta Hawks, Atlanta Braves, Miami Heat
and as many sporting events as we can. My favorite Auburn moment was going to
Arizona and watching Auburn win the National Championship. Right behind that is
the Iron Bowl of 2010.

As a native of Huntsville and a graduate of Grissom High
School, I graduated from Auburn in 1991 with a Bachelor of Electrical
Engineering and in 1993 with a Master’s in Business Administration. After a few years working as an
engineer at SCI in Huntsville, I moved to Washington, DC and spent over a
decade working on Capitol Hill for Congressman Robert Aderholt. I moved home to Huntsville in 2010, and
am currently employed as the District Director for Congressman Mo Brooks.
I had a lot of great Auburn experiences and am grateful for
the life-long friendships from those years. I remember walking across the stage as a third generation
Electrical Engineer from the Auburn College of Engineering. But my favorite memory of my time at
Auburn was the first ever Auburn-Alabama game played in Auburn. I will never forget the orange and blue
haze over the stadium from the paper shakers and the thrill of beating an
undefeated Alabama team.
