Huntsville-Madison County Scholarship Foundation
The mission of the Huntsville Madison County Auburn Club is to strengthen and foster the relationship between Auburn University alumni and friends, and to raise scholarship funds for deserving High School Seniors living in Madison County.
Each Spring the Huntsville-Madison County Auburn Club provides freshman scholarships to deserving Madison County students attending Auburn University. The award is based on academic excellence, community leadership, and financial need, and demonstration of the “Auburn Spirit". Additional details are provided with the scholarship application.
Unlike most Auburn clubs, your club is one of the few that selects its own scholarship recipients instead of having the university make the selection. This approach ensures that our efforts benefit local students. To continue to meet our scholarship goals, we need each of more than 6,000 Auburn alumni and countless supporters and friends of Auburn living in Madison County to join the HMCAC and participate in our club’s activities. Proceeds from membership dues, events, and the HMCAC “500 Club” all benefit our scholarship efforts.
Congratulations to your 2009 Scholarship Winners!

As a freshman here at Auburn University, I must say I am loving every minute of my time here on the Plains. I am currently majoring in Biomedical Sciences and eventually I will declare which specific medical field I wish to pursue, such as Pre-Dentistry, Pre-Medicine, Pre-Optometry, or etc. Right now, most of my classes consist of fundamental core classes that I need to go ahead and take. I'm doing great so far in all of my classes, and I hope to keep it up! As for my goals, I'm trying to make the most out of my freshman year by stepping out of my comfort zone, meeting lots of new people, and trying new things by being involved. I'm a proud member of Tiger Tuesdays, which is the Freshmen branch of SGA that consists of 5 different groups. My group is called "ELF" (Exploring Leadership for Freshmen), and I have made lots of new friends, learned so much about how to become a better leader within my community, and participated in many service projects. I love being involved with my SGA group (and the fact that the girl-to-guy ratio is 34 to 6 helps too!). I'm also a member of a medical organization called Alpha Epsilon Delta for mostly pre-med students, where we have the opportunity to listen to guest speakers about the health care professions, as well as volunteering in many projects. I truly believe that I could not have picked a better university to attend because I'm having the time of my life here at Auburn, and it's all thanks to the Huntsville-Madison County Auburn Club! War Eagle!!

I am currently at Auburn studying Geology. I am interested in being a research Meteorologist, which would lead me to major in a more challenging science. (Applied- such as engineering or physics.) I plan to take some courses this summer in physics to see how I like that. I am currently in the engineering orientation class to see if I can find an engineering major that would be a good fit for me. I would like to get my undergraduate from Auburn and then go to UAH to get my masters in atmospheric science. I want to be able to predict hurricane and catastrophic events to warn society. Natural disasters cannot be avoided, but with the right planning and prediction serious injuries can be.
I am currently in EAO ( Environmental Awareness Organization) and The Student Alumni Association.
